Naz Counseling is a woman-led therapy center in the heart of Texas. Dr. Naz established this counseling center when she felt people weren't getting the help they needed. People often think therapy will burn a hole in their pocket, but you don’t have to worry about it at Naz Counseling.
Naz Counseling is one of the most affordable therapy centers in Texas. Dr. Naz's methods of practice are different from the traditional ones.
Dr. Naz thinks best care starts when everyone is treated equally. The minute you walk into the center, her compassionate nature welcomes you.
Dr. Naz is careful to stay within the boundaries set by the state and licensing board laws.
Dr. Naz provides excellent therapy and care to all her clients. She never misses a new learning opportunity to deliver the best-in-class counseling.
Dr. Naz believes the best return is when each client feels they have made progress by the end of each session.
Dr. Naz believes that for a perfect and healthy session, the therapist must also enter the session with a clear mind. Only then can progress be achieved.
Dr. Nazia Hossain saw a lack of mental wellness in the industry. She always felt there aren't many women in the industry, and it focuses more on individuals than on couples and families. To change this, she thought of taking charge herself. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas, and also holds a minor in Business Administration. She then pursued a Master's degree in Counseling Education, with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy. She went on, and received her Doctorate Degree in Higher Education Policy & Leadership from the Southern Methodist University.
She started gaining hands-on experience from the time she started her Masters degree. She acquired the best counseling skills by working at the Family Center of Southern Methodist University. At the Hegi Family Career Development Center, she worked as a career counselor, helping college students navigate through their difficult adolescent years. She also helped them overcome abuse or trauma of any degree.
Recently, Dr. Naz worked at Stanford Couples Counseling, where she developed her critical counseling skills in various fields of therapy. With her dedication and patience, she helped thousands of families, couples, individuals, and college students battle their problems and live a better life.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Naz saw that people are in dire need of help to maintain their mental health. Her husband saw her concern for helping people, and in October of 2021, on her birthday, he gifted Dr. Naz her own practice.

Dr. Hossain, who grew up in Plano, Texas, always knew how important it is to have family around you. As her family grew, she became increasingly aware of her desire to help other families and keep them from falling apart.
Another reason for starting a woman owned therapy center is to help women get through divorces and other difficult situations, such as abuse. She feels that women need to empower themselves, and that starts by helping them overcome their mental problems.
